After practising various forms of yoga on and off since 1998 in Australia, Heidi stumbled across Bikram yoga in Fulham, London several years later in 2007. Full of energy and vitality she was hooked after the first class and immediately knew she wanted to teach.
Heidi is a qualified Myotherapist having completed a 3-year Advanced Diploma from RMIT University in Melbourne. She specializes in the treatment of myofascial pain and dysfunction, postural imbalances, sports and soft tissue injuries.
She has a passion for anatomy and physiology and understands the major role Bikram yoga plays to improve the functions of the body. Not only do physical benefits occur, but mental and emotional breakthroughs can be reached also. Bikram yoga provides a safe, supportive and challenging environment to build body awareness, which is essential to the healing process.
Heidi completed her Bikram Yoga Teacher Training in Las Vegas in Spring 2010. She taught her first class in San Francisco before heading back to the UK to teach in London for the next 3 years. The lure of sunshine, beaches, family and friends pulled Heidi back home to Perth where she and her British husband Toby settled in quickly and had their first baby (Leo) in October of 2014.
Heidi is extremely passionate about the amazing benefits of regular yoga practice and is continually inspired and motivated by her students and fellow teachers.
